State Cooperative Union (SCU), Kerala has invited applications for admission to the Junior Diploma in Cooperation (JDC) course being conducted in the Institutions/ Colleges under it for 2026-27.

The course is an eligibility requirement for recruitment to some posts in the Cooperative Department and Cooperative institutions.

The course of 10 months’ duration for 2026-27 will be held from 1st June 2026 to 31st March 2027 and will include 2 practical training periods of 15 days each.

The course will be held at various cooperative training institutions/colleges across Kerala. There are batches exclusively for those belonging to SC/ST categories at 4 centres. Eligibility: Applicants should have passed Class 10 examination (SSLC or CBSE or CISCE)/ equivalent course recognised as equivalent to them by the Government of Kerala. In the case of the grading system of evaluation, the applicant should have secured at least a D+ Grade in all subjects.

Applicant should be between 16 and 40 years as on 1.6.2026. The upper age limit will be 45 years for applicants of SC/ST categories and 43 in the case of the OBC category. Applicants of Cooperative Societies should be at least 18 years of age as on 1.6.2026. There is no upper age limit in the case of employees of Cooperative Societies. The age limit for ex-servicemen is given in the Prospectus.

Application fee is Rs. 175/- for the General category, Rs. 85/- for the SC/ST category and Rs. 350/- for employees of Cooperative Societies.

Of the total seats at a Centre, 50% seats will be General seats for students with specified reservation for different categories as given in the Prospectus; 35% seats will be for regular employees of Cooperative Societies, and 15% seats will be for Departmental Staff (Cooperation, Fisheries, Industries, Dairy Development, Coir Departments).
