IIMC has announced PG degree and diploma admissions for 2026–27, with selection based on CUET PG scores.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), a deemed-to-be university, has notified its admissions to postgraduate degree and diploma programs for 2026-27.
Admission to MA and PG Diploma programs of IIMC will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) – PG to be conducted by the National Testing Agency.
The Programs coming under the purview of CUET PG 2026 are as follows:
MA Programs, Centre/s where Program is conducted and the CUET PG Test Paper to be considered for admission: (i) MA in Media Business Studies (Delhi) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Economics, Commerce and General Management) (ii) MA in Strategic Communication (Delhi) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, and Political Science) (iii) MA in New Media Communications (Delhi, Jammu, Aizawl and Kottayam) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism) (iv) MA in Health Communication (Delhi) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Disaster Studies, General, Physical Education, Public Health, Sports, Yoga, Healthcare & Hospital Management, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Medical Laboratory, MPT/ MRT, Nano-science, Pharmacy, Zoology, Development & Labour Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology) (v) MA in Media and Communication Governance (Dhenkanal) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Economics, Political Science, Law, and Sociology) (vi) MA in Corporate Communication and Brand Management (Dhenkanal) (open to CUET scores in Mass Communication and Journalism, Economic, Commerce and General)
PG Diploma Programs: (i) Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism (English) (ii) Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism (Hindi) (iii) Post-Graduate Diploma in Radio & TV Journalism (iv) Post-Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations.
Online registration for CUET (PG) - 2026 can be done at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/ by 11.50 pm on January 23, 2026.
Eligibility: MA Programmes: Indian nationals possessing a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by a recognized university in any discipline with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for the MA Programmes.
PG Diploma Programmes: Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply.
Age criteria: MA Programmes: There is no age limit for the MA programmes.
PG Diploma Programmes: General Category candidates should be born on 1.8.2001 or later (maximum 25 years as on August 1, 2026). For SC/ ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, the date of birth should be 1.8.1996 or later (maximum 30 years as on August 1, 2026). For OBC category candidates, date of birth should be 1.8.1998 or later (28 years as on August 1, 2026).
For all Programmes and Courses, those who have appeared / are appearing for Final year/semester examination of their Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply. If selected, their admission will be subject to their producing at least a Provisional marks sheet/Certificate in original from their college / university latest by September 30, 2026 (extendable in genuine cases after ascertaining the reasons). On completion of the Programme, the Degree/ Diploma will be awarded only if the Original Degree Certificate is produced for verification at IIMC’s office.
