International Tiger Day 2026: Bandhavgarh focuses on human-tiger conflict management
Concern over human-tiger conflict in Madhya Pradesh's Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve has grown since multiple tiger deaths were documented in 2026. As the reserve's tiger population continues to rise, officials and wildlife experts emphasised on International Tiger Day the need for improved habitat, grassland development and conflict management.
According to wildlife activists, in order to effectively manage conflicts and safeguard both people and wildlife, the Tiger Reserve administration, district authorities and local Panchayats must work together.
