The fire broke out inside a commercial building in Lucknow on Monday and spread to a pet facility operating within the premises.
Rescue teams worked alongside animal welfare NGOs to save trapped animals, successfully bringing several cats to safety. According to caretakers, the rescued felines appear deeply traumatised and continue showing signs of distress while searching for their owners.
