Vivo launches T4 Ultra in India with segment-first camera, flagship performance, and AI features.

Vivo has launched its new T-series flagship, the T4 Ultra, in India, positioning it as the most powerful and feature-rich device in its segment. Priced from ₹37,999, the smartphone introduces several firsts, including the Sony IMX921 sensor and a 10x telephoto macro lens, alongside AI-powered tools and a top-tier processor.
Camera innovations set new benchmark
The Vivo T4 Ultra brings a triple rear camera system headlined by the 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor, a segment-first in the ₹35,000–₹40,000 price range. This is supported by a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and a software-enabled 100x Hyperzoom. A notable highlight is the 10x telephoto macro capability—another segment-first—enabling high-precision close-ups from distance.
The system also features an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front-facing lens for high-definition selfies and video calls. Photography is further enhanced by five portrait focal lengths and tools like AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 and AI Erase 2.0, delivering an advanced imaging experience.
Built for power and performance
At the heart of the T4 Ultra lies the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, the most powerful chipset in the Series T lineup. Built on a 4nm 3rd Gen TSMC process, the phone boasts an AnTuTu score exceeding 2 million, offering flagship-level speed. With 12-core GPU, 90fps BGMI support, and vivo’s Lightning-Speed Engine 2.0, the device promises smooth performance for gamers and heavy multitaskers.
Aiding performance is a 5,500mAh battery, complemented by 90W fast charging, ensuring sustained usage with minimal downtime. The device also supports dual-extension RAM for improved memory management.
Display and durability enhancements
The device features a 6.67-inch 1.5K Quad Curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits local peak brightness. It also comes with SGS Low Blue Light certification, Anti-Fatigue Brightness, and Night Eye Protection, reducing eye strain during extended use.
Durability receives an upgrade with IP64 water and dust resistance, improved Shield Glass that offers 150% better drop protection, and 2000Hz instant + 300Hz gaming touch sampling for responsiveness. Symmetrical dual stereo speakers round out the multimedia experience.
Design rooted in mythology
Aesthetically, the T4 Ultra draws inspiration from cosmic symbolism. The Phoenix Gold variant is crafted with Enamel Glass, while Meteor Grey uses AG Glass. The sleek 7.43mm profile and curved 3D body make for a premium feel and an ergonomic grip. A Dual-Ring Camera Module reinforces both form and function.
AI tools to enhance productivity
Running on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, the smartphone integrates a suite of smart features, including AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, AI Call Translation, Circle to Search, AI Erase 2.0, and AI Magic Move. These tools streamline daily tasks, making the phone a productivity companion.
The T4 Ultra also comes with 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches.
