Kozhikode: Malabar’s first curated science festival in Kozhikode Beach, organized by Amuse Arts and Science, Thiruvananthapuram, in association with various public and private partners, is a captivating exploration into evolution of cosmos, particularly focusing on the human world and its habitats.

This second edition of the festival, following the inaugural event in Thiruvananthapuram, commenced on May 12 and will run until May 28. Visitors can enjoy the expo's wonders from 11 am to 11 pm daily, with entry tickets priced at Rs. 100 for adults, Rs. 50 for children aged 6-11 and free entry for children under 6.

As we step into the first pavilion, we are greeted by a towering model of DNA. The pavilion's walls narrate the story of celestial evolution and the genesis of life on Earth. Moving ahead, we encounter fossil replicas showcasing the world of extinct insects and amphibians. The presence of wax figures of luminaries such as Darwin, Madame Curie, and other great inventors, alongside representations of our ancestral lineage, captivates one and all. The presence of a giant dinosaur sculpture and a model of the human brain attracts all. Moreover, specimens of human body parts and fetal anatomy have been explained on the video wall.

Inside one of the pavilions, a five-foot moon installation stands out to add to the beauty of the programme. This has become a favourite photo spot for social media aficionados alike. Moreover, the literature corners also offer enriching narratives.

Finally, visitors entering the commercial pavilion will be introduced to the exciting world of technology. The culinary delights showcased at food festivals is another standout feature.
