A content creator has accused Ola Electric of a cybersecurity breach after a remote reset allegedly bypassed his vehicle’s passcodes, locking him out. The company has not responded to the claims.

New Delhi: A content creator has accused Ola Electric of a serious cybersecurity and consumer rights violation after claiming the company’s systems allowed a remote reset of a user’s vehicle without consent, allegedly bypassing passcode protections and locking the owner out.
Raising the allegation on social media platform X, content creator Ashok Mor wrote, “Serious Cybersecurity & Consumer Rights Violation by Ola? @OlaElectric This is extremely serious. Your systems allowed a remote reset WITHOUT consent, effectively bypassing user-set passcodes and locking the owner out. Can't even use the Default Passcode. This points to unauthorised access, weak access controls, and a potential cybersecurity & privacy violation. Who approved this override, and how many users are exposed?” He also posted an image of his vehicle with the post.
