New Delhi: Google has officially launched Search Live, its new AI-powered conversational search tool, in India, marking the global debut of the feature beyond the United States. Built on Project Astra and powered by Gemini AI, Search Live introduces a more natural, voice-based search experience for Indian users.

The feature is now available in English and Hindi, with support for seven additional Indian languages: Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, making it one of the most inclusive AI rollouts in the country to date.

What is Google Search Live?

Search Live allows users to speak their queries and receive real-time, spoken answers from Google. Unlike traditional search methods that involve typing and scanning multiple links, users can now have a voice conversation with Google Search, asking follow-up questions without restarting their query.

Powered by Gemini AI, Search Live can understand the context of ongoing conversations, providing more accurate and relevant answers. Users can also switch off the voice response to view text-based summaries on screen.

This feature is especially helpful for hands-free situations, whether you're cooking, driving, or multitasking. Search Live delivers step-by-step assistance using real-time web data.
