Bengaluru: Mahindra Racing has pledged to race in Formula E until at least 2030, quashing doubts over its future in the electric series and committing as a full manufacturer for the GEN4 era starting 2026/27.
The Indian team, a founding member since 2013, unveiled its M12Electro livery in Bengaluru this week, signalling a long-term vision aligned with Mahindra Group's electrification push for one million EVs in India by 2031.

Under CEO Frederic Bertrand, who joined in 2022, Mahindra tripled points last season to finish fourth with 186 points and five podiums, rebounding from prior reliability woes.
Bertrand highlighted the resurgence: "We have been on a fantastic journey over the past two seasons. With this announcement, we now have the platform to keep growing." Chairman R Velusamy tied the stay to sustainable mobility goals.
GEN4 Tech Boosts High-Stakes Future
GEN4 cars will deliver 600kW power (over 815hp in Attack Mode), permanent all-wheel drive, 700kW regen braking and 55kWh energy, debuting in Season 13.
Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds praised Mahindra as a pioneer, joining Nissan, Porsche, Jaguar, Stellantis and Lola for GEN4.
