The 2025 Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi is set to draw the largest crowd in the event's 16-year history, with organisers Ethara reporting that ticket sales are tracking to exceed last year's record attendance of 192,000 fans across four days. The December 5-7 race weekend at Yas Marina Circuit could witness one of the sport's most thrilling championship conclusions, with just 24 points separating the top three drivers heading into the final two rounds.

Following Max Verstappen's victory and McLaren's shocking double disqualification for excessive plank wear in Las Vegas on November 22, the championship has transformed into a three-way battle. Lando Norris leads with 390 points, while Oscar Piastri and Verstappen are tied at 366 points each. With 58 points still available across Qatar's sprint weekend and Abu Dhabi's grand prix, any of the three drivers could claim the title.

Star-Studded Entertainment Lineup

The 2025 event features the most ambitious entertainment program in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix history, with eight headline acts performing at Etihad Park. The Emirates NBD After-Race Concerts will showcase Benson Boone on December 4, Post Malone alongside Elyanna on December 5, Metallica on December 6, and Katy Perry closing the weekend on December 7. Official After-Parties will feature performances by Calvin Harris, Idris Elba, and Keinemusik.

Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, emphasised the event's significance: "The 2025 event promises to be remarkable, with more fans, more racing, more entertainment, and exciting new experiences on and off the track". The international draw remains strong, with fans expected from 105 countries.

Championship Scenarios

Norris can clinch his first Formula 1 drivers' championship in Qatar if he outscores both Piastri and Verstappen by two points, securing a 26-point lead heading into Abu Dhabi. Otherwise, the title will be decided in the December 7 season finale, where the race winner earns 25 points.
