
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan hailed Indian cricketer Minnu Mani as the representative of determined indigenous youngsters of the modern-day. He honoured Minnu as part of the celebrations of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (August 9), held by the Scheduled Tribes Development Department in Thiruvananthapuram.
Pinarayi expressed hope that Minnu would leave behind her legacy in the game of cricket and will serve as an inspiration for youngsters in the state. She was honoured with a golden shawl and was also presented with a replica of the ‘Chundan Vallam’ (snake boat)- a symbol of the cultural heritage of Kerala. Minister K Radhakrishnan also presented a gift to Minnu Mani.
