New Delhi: Mananthavady native Minnu Mani has secured a place in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming Asian Games. Minnu's outstanding performance in the recently concluded Twenty20 cricket series in Bangladesh earned her this opportunity. She claimed five wickets during the tournament while restricting the Bangladesh team to a lesser score.

The Asian Games cricket competition, scheduled to take place in China in September, will feature the Twenty20 format. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the women's team, while Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the men's team.
