Dhaka: Kerala cricketer Minnu Mani made her Indian T20 debut memorable with a wicket in her first over. Earlier, Minnu had created history by becoming the first Malayali women to don the national colours in an International T20 match. Batting sensation Smriti Mandhana handed over the international team cap to the female cricketer.
Minnu did not disappoint her captain Harmanpreet Kaur when she was handed over the ball in the fifth over of the Bangladesh innings. In the fourth ball of her first ever international over, Minnu sent back Bangladeshi batter Shamima Sultana to the pavilion. The Bangladeshi wicketkeeper holed out in the deep attempting a lofted shot. The catch was safely taken by Jemimah Rodrigues, gifting Minnu her maiden international wicket.
