New Delhi: Hardik Pandya, after he replaced Rohit Sharma, had been facing the severe wrath of Mumbai Indian fans in Season 17 of the Indian Premier League. The team's inability to get a win so far in the current season also adds to the criticism towards Pandya.

Hardik was welcomed with boos by the Mumbai fans at both the home and away matches. Commentator Sanjay Manjrekar was forced to ask the booing fans to behave during the toss.

The Delhi Cricket Association (DDCA) has come forward to take strong action against fans who express displeasure towards the new captain. DDCA president Rohan Jaitley told the national media that strict action will be taken against spectators who misbehave towards Hardik during Mumbai's match in Delhi. The association has decided not to tolerate any kind of misbehavior that targets the star. Fans who continue to do so will be ousted from the stadium.

The association is planning to take tough measures by deputing more security personnel.
