Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli offered a glimpse into their spiritual side as they attended Krishna Das’ kirtan in Mumbai on Sunday. Another praised Virat for staying connected to his faith and credited Anushka for sharing his spiritual outlook.

Before attending the kirtan, Anushka and Virat were also spotted at Mumbai’s Gateway of India. A separate video showing the couple meeting Krishna Das after the event has also surfaced online.

Spirituality has been an important part of Anushka and Virat’s lives for some time. Anushka has also spoken about how spirituality shapes the couple’s approach to life. During a conversation with Anupama Chopra in March, the actor described their relationship with fame and their preference for a quieter existence.

“We are both not so attached to what we do; we don’t see each other as two different people… we are male and female versions of each other,” she said.

She also admitted that both of them sometimes find fame overwhelming and prefer retreating into their own space. “Our life, first and foremost, is spiritual. Then it is what we do, our professions,” Anushka added.
