India continued its strong start at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 as Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane secured silver in the men's 10m air rifle team event on Monday.

The Indian trio combined for 1890.1 points, finishing behind China, who topped the event with 1899.0.

South Korea took bronze with 1841.4 points. The result gave India its third medal of the Games, with all three medals coming in shooting and all being silver.

Patil was India's leading performer in the qualification round, which also counted as the team final, finishing third individually with 631.8 points. Dhillon placed seventh with 630.0, while Mane finished 11th with 628.3.

Patil and Dhillon also advanced to the individual final, which is scheduled to take place later.

Patil built steadily through the six series, registering 104.2 in the opening series before reaching 210.2, 315.9 and 421.6 in the next three.

He crossed the 500-point mark with 527.1 after five series before ending his qualification with 631.8.

Mane began with 104.5 and followed it up with 208.2 in the second series and 312.9 in the third. He reached 417.9 after four series and 521.6 after five before finishing on 628.3.

Patil posted 105.3 in his opening series and continued with scores of 209.9, 314.7 and 421.0 across the next three. He had 525.6 after five series and eventually finished with 630.0.

The silver adds to India's shooting haul from Sunday, when Elavenil Valarivan won individual silver in the women's 10m air rifle, while Valarivan, Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsa Kochalumkal Vinod also combined to claim silver in the women's team event.

With another shooting podium secured, India's medal tally at Aichi-Nagoya now stands at three, all from the shooting range.
