Washington DC: The USS Gerald R. Ford, commissioned by the United States Navy, is considered the most advanced and largest aircraft carrier in the world. The nuclear-powered warship forms the centrepiece of a powerful strike group currently moving closer to the Middle East reportedly reached coast of Israel.

The carrier’s deployment comes amid escalating geopolitical pressure between the United States and Iran, following stalled nuclear negotiations. The US has reportedly increased its military presence in the region, positioning hundreds of aircraft and naval assets within potential operational range.

Military analysts say the Ford-class carrier is designed for high-intensity operations, carrying advanced fighter jets, surveillance systems and defensive missile technologies. Its strike group can provide both offensive strike capability and protective air defence coverage.

Reports suggest the carrier left waters near Crete and is expected to approach the coast of Israel within roughly 24 hours. The deployment is believed to strengthen regional deterrence and protect allied forces from possible retaliation.

The US administration under Donald Trump has indicated that “all options are on the table” regarding Iran’s nuclear programme. However, officials have not confirmed whether the military buildup will lead to immediate strikes.

Public opinion in the US remains divided over the possibility of military action, with polling showing more Americans opposing than supporting a direct attack.

The situation continues to be closely monitored as diplomatic talks and military positioning occur simultaneously in one of the world’s most sensitive strategic regions.

A cryptic-style illustration reportedly circulating on social media and associated with posts linked to US President Donald Trump has drawn public attention. The image showed a symbolic bomb-like shape falling toward a map resembling Iran.

Authorities have not issued any definitive confirmation regarding possible military operations, and the situation continues to be closely monitored amid ongoing diplomatic and geopolitical uncertainty.
