Washington DC: The United States has released a 37-second video showing its latest military strikes on Iranian targets, carried out after Washington accused Tehran of attacking a commercial cargo vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), American aircraft targeted Iranian missile and drone storage facilities along with coastal radar installations.

The operation came in response to what the US described as a one-way drone attack on the Singapore-flagged cargo ship M/V Ever Lovely on June 25 while it was sailing near the Omani coast after exiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM said Iran's actions violated the recently agreed ceasefire and endangered freedom of navigation through one of the world's busiest maritime trade routes.

The military added that US forces remain deployed in the region to help safeguard commercial shipping and ensure the ceasefire terms continue to be observed.

The command did not reveal the exact locations of the strikes. However, Iranian state television reported that an explosion was heard near Taherouyeh pier in the southern port city of Sirik late Friday.

Citing an unnamed military source, the broadcaster said the blast was caused by a projectile striking the area.

Soon after the strikes, US Vice President JD Vance issued a stern warning to Tehran. In a post on X, he said the United States had respected the ceasefire agreement and urged Iran to resolve any disputes through communication rather than military action.

He warned that any further violence would be met with a forceful American response.

The developments mark a sharp escalation in tensions despite efforts to preserve the ceasefire after months of conflict in the region.
