Trump challenged Netanyahu's claim of no starvation in Gaza, citing images of starving children as evidence.

London: US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met in Scotland, agreeing on the urgent need to end the suffering in Gaza, according to a statement from the British government. Both leaders reiterated their calls for an immediate ceasefire to pave the way for peace in the region.
The meeting occurred a day after Israel had eased some aid restrictions amidst a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. During his discussions, President Trump expressed his disagreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's assertion that there is no starvation in Gaza. When questioned before his meeting with Starmer, Trump remarked, "Based on television, I would say not particularly because those children look very hungry." He later emphasised at a press conference, "Some of those kids are, that's real starvation stuff. I see it, and you can't fake that."
Trump further stressed that Israel must ensure that all aid reaches those in need, stating, "I want them to make sure they get the food, every ounce of food," and suggesting that the aid "is not being delivered, or at least all of it."
Echoing Trump's concerns, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the situation in Gaza as "absolutely intolerable," finding the images of starving children "revolting."
On Sunday, Israel announced a daily 10-hour pause in military operations in specific areas of Gaza to facilitate aid flow. However, military operations continued outside this declared timeframe, and Israel had no immediate comment regarding the latest strikes mentioned in the report.
