UAE airspace resumes normal flight operations after precautionary lift; Qatar Airways restores Middle East routes, Iraq services, expands network.

Doha/Abu Dhabi: The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced the full resumption of normal air navigation operations within UAE airspace, alongside the lifting of temporary precautionary measures.
The decision follows a comprehensive evaluation of operational and security conditions, carried out in coordination with relevant authorities. Continuous real-time monitoring remains in place to maintain the highest levels of aviation safety.
The Authority expressed appreciation for the cooperation shown by passengers and airlines during the precautionary period. It also confirmed that its technical and operational teams remain fully prepared to respond to any emerging developments.
The public has been advised to continue relying on official sources for information.
Earlier, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported the same announcement, stating that the GCAA had restored normal air navigation operations after the review and coordination process, with monitoring systems continuing in operation.
The air travel turmoil across the Middle East was triggered by the joint military actions of the United States and Israel against Iran, along with Iran's subsequent retaliatory measures.

The airline also confirmed earlier returns of daily passenger services to Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ), as well as Bahrain (BAH), Damascus (DAM) and Kozhikode (CCJ), expanding connectivity and flexibility across the region and beyond.
Qatar Airways stated it is advancing the phased restoration of its global network, with its flight schedule expanding from 16 June 2026 to more than 150 destinations across six continents.
Passengers have been advised to regularly check the airline’s official website or app and ensure contact details remain updated. The statement also noted that flight schedules remain subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, safety, or other circumstances beyond control.
