While the source of the drone remains under investigation, the incident follows a similar event last Saturday.

Fujairah: A fire broke out at a critical petroleum industrial zone in the emirate of Fujairah on Monday following a drone strike, according to the government’s media office, marking the latest in a series of aerial secondary impacts on the nation's energy infrastructure.
The Fujairah Government Media Office confirmed in a statement that the blaze occurred within the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone. Civil defence teams were dispatched immediately to the site to contain the flames. Officials stated that there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the strike or the subsequent fire.
Regional Energy Hub Targeted
The facility is located outside the strategic Strait of Hormuz, making it a vital hub for global oil storage and bunkering. While the media office did not specify the origin of the drone, the incident follows a period of heightened regional instability. On Saturday, authorities reported a similar fire in the same industrial district caused by debris from an intercepted drone, though that blaze was also extinguished without casualties.
Local authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of the structural damage to the petroleum facilities. However, the media office emphasised that specialised teams remain on-site to ensure the situation is fully monitored and to prevent any further ignition.
Calls for Public Caution
The statement concluded with a stern warning to the public regarding the dissemination of unverified information. The media office urged residents and news outlets to refrain from circulating rumours or unofficial footage on social media platforms, requesting that all information be drawn strictly from official government channels.
This latest strike follows a series of recent disruptions to UAE infrastructure and transportation, including a temporary suspension of flight operations at Dubai International Airport earlier Monday due to drone activity. Security remains tightened across the country’s industrial and transit corridors as investigations into the source of the persistent aerial threats continue.
