Diesel prices in India have been revised daily since June 15, 2017, replacing the earlier fortnightly revision system. Currently, diesel rates are stable in several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, while marginal reductions are observed in Chennai, Jaipur, and Patna. Thiruvananthapuram continues to record some of the highest diesel prices among Indian cities.
