Air India has unveiled significant updates on Monday to its international route network, set to begin in 2025. The changes aim to improve travel options by deploying advanced aircraft to key destinations in Southeast Asia and Europe.
These updates also include optimised flight schedules that provide greater flexibility for travellers and enhance connections between North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia via Air India's hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.
Retrofitted A320neo for Delhi-Bangkok route
Starting on 16 January 2025, Air India will use its retrofitted A320neo aircraft for all flights on the Delhi-Bangkok route. The newly updated aircraft will feature refreshed interiors across all three classes: Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class. Passengers will also have access to Vista Stream, Air India’s complimentary wireless inflight entertainment (IFE) service.
Additionally, Air India will increase its services on the Delhi-Bangkok route by adding a fourth daily flight, beginning 01 January 2025.
This increased frequency will provide more convenient connections between Bangkok and several destinations in North America and Europe via Air India’s Delhi hub. Travellers from cities such as New York, Chicago, Toronto, London, Frankfurt, and Paris, among others, will be able to take seamless one-stop flights to Bangkok via Delhi, and vice versa.
Upgraded aircraft on Frankfurt and Singapore routes
Air India is also upgrading its fleet for key routes to Frankfurt and Singapore. The airline will deploy the former Vistara A321neo and B787-9 aircraft on the following routes:
- Delhi-Frankfurt and Mumbai-Frankfurt: Now served by B787-9 aircraft
- Delhi-Singapore: Once daily with B787-9, and twice daily with A321neo (starting 01 January 2025)
- Mumbai-Singapore: Twice daily with A321neo (starting 01 January 2025)
These aircraft will feature the latest cabin interiors, including fully flat beds in Business Class and consistent availability of Premium Economy, enhancing the overall travel experience.
Optimised schedules for Frankfurt, Paris, Sydney, and Melbourne routes
From 01 February 2025, Air India will implement new flight schedules on its Delhi-Frankfurt and Delhi-Paris routes. These changes will offer both daytime and nighttime departures in both directions, providing more flexibility for travellers.
Air India is also retiming its daily flights on the Delhi-Sydney and Delhi-Melbourne routes to create better connectivity between Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia via Delhi. With these schedule updates, passengers from London, Paris, and Frankfurt will be able to take easy one-stop flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City via Delhi.
