Kalpetta: Due to space constraints in the animal hospice and palliative care centre for big cats at Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, the man-eating tiger, which was caught last day, was transferred to Puthur Zoological Park (Thrissur Zoo).
The facility in Wayanad is already housing seven tigers. All these predators, involved in various attacks in human settlements, came under captivity at the wildlife sanctuary in the last couple of years. The officials decided to lodge the big cats in the facilities due to risks and protests over releasing them back into the wild.
