Thiruvananthapuram: A controversy has erupted following a female vlogger’s alleged filming of a video at the Secretariat without permission.

The incident happened at a time when even top-accredited journalists are restricted from shooting on the premises.

The filming occurred during the unofficial send-off ceremony for the Special Secretary at the Secretariat. According to regulations, any video filming needs permission from the Home Ministry, but no permission has been issued over the past year.

It is alleged that the incident is an outcome of the infighting within the Left-wing union of Secretariat employees.

No video filming, including film shooting, is permitted inside or outside the Secretariat due to security reasons.
