Train services in the Palakkad Division will be affected on select days due to safety and maintenance works. West Coast Express to face delays of up to 50 minutes.

Palakkad: Train services through the Palakkad Division will be affected on several days in August as the Railways has scheduled safety and maintenance works under a Fixed Time Corridor, leading to delays for the West Coast Express.
According to railway authorities, Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central–Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express will be regulated en route on multiple dates in August and early September because of the planned works.
The train, which departs Mangaluru Central at 11.45 pm, will be delayed by 50 minutes on August 9, 16, 23 and 30.
On August 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27, and September 1 and 3, the train will be delayed by 30 minutes.
The Railways said the temporary regulation has been introduced to facilitate essential safety and maintenance works in the Palakkad Division. Passengers travelling on the affected dates are advised to check the revised timings before commencing their journey.
