
Thiruvananthapuram: Dr KC Ramasan, superintendent of the state-run mental health centre at Kuthiravattam in Kozhikode has been suspended from service over lapses in performing his duties.
As per the order, he will be suspended from the post with effect from June 2.

Health minister Veena George directed the health department to suspend the official from service after founding his negligence in performing his duties.
The minister earlier had intimated the health department director to submit an inquiry report over the death of an inmate who fled from the health centre. The inquiry found that there were lapses from the side of the superintendent, and it recommended the government take action against him for the back to back mishaps in the centre.
Following this, the minister has ordered to suspend the superintendent from service.
