Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan informed that the decision to hand over the solar rape case to CBI was not political, but only a normal procedure of the state government.

The case was handed over to CBI on the basis of the opinion of the complainants. The investigation will take place into the registered cases, he stated.

Vijayaraghavan said that there are no issues in the LDF regarding handing over the case to CBI. The decision was taken by the government, not CPM. The government has not misused authority in this matter. All these cases were registered, he added.

The LDF government never resort to political vendetta, but Oommen Chandy was a person who used to take revenge on others. As it was his nature throughout his political career, he would feel that this action also was a part of political vendetta, he stated.

Oommen Chandy is a leader who misused the CBI investigation for torturing and disgracing Pinarayi Vijayan and to make gains in the election, Vijayaraghavan said.
