Malappuram: Continuing to level allegations against ADGP Ajith Kumar, MLA P V Anvar accused the senior police officer of playing a pivotal role in undermining the highly controversial solar scam case that caused a political uproar in the state several years ago. 

Anvar claims that another police official has informed him about Ajith Kumar’s involvement in sabotaging the case. The MLA also alleged that Ajith Kumar is currently building a bungalow adjacent to MA Yusuff Ali's residence at Kowdiar in Thiruvananthapuram.

"During the solar case, the Left Front launched some of the fiercest protests in the history of the organisation against the Oommen Chandy-led UDF government in 2013. Despite this, the high-profile case was ultimately sabotaged, leaving the party, the entire front, and the public feeling deceived. A police officer has revealed to me that Ajith Kumar is primarily to blame for this. More details will emerge as the investigation progresses in the coming days," Anvar stated.

According to Anvar, of the 22 cents of land near Yusuff Ali’s property, 10 cents belong to Ajith Kumar, while 12 cents are owned by his brother. The MLA noted that land prices in the area range from Rs 65 to Rs 75 lakhs per cent.

On Monday, MLA Anvar continued to make startling allegations against top police officials in the state.
