Thiruvananthapuram: Following the verdict in the Sharon Raj murder case, DySP M K Zulfikar, the lead investigating officer, shared a major insight into the investigation. He stated that the footage recorded by Sharon, despite Greeshma's objections, played a crucial role in securing the conviction. Zulfikar emphasised that this video, captured as part of the 'juice challenge,' is seen as the divine clue in this case, serving as pivotal evidence in confirming Greeshma's guilt.
Sharon and Greeshma had been in a romantic relationship for about a year. However, things took a dark turn when Greeshma received a marriage proposal from another man with a higher financial standing. As Greeshma tried to distance herself from Sharon, multiple failed attempts to end the relationship led her to take extreme measures. On 14 October 2022, Greeshma mixed poison into a decoction and served it to Sharon, ultimately leading to his death.

While Sharon’s family initially told the police that Greeshma had secretly married Sharon and killed him to remove the 'bad luck' in her horoscope, the police were not convinced by this version of events.
