Kerala is set to witness scattered heavy rainfall over the next five days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for several districts. Residents are being urged to stay cautious and prepare for sudden showers.
Which districts will be affected?
The IMD has highlighted the following districts for yellow alerts:
October 10 (Friday): Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur
October 11 (Saturday): Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad
October 12 (Sunday): Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad
October 13 (Monday): Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki
The alerts indicate a risk of isolated heavy rainfall, with the IMD defining heavy showers as 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain in 24 hours.
