Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been filed with the State Police Chief alleging that the driver of Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan was assaulted by police officers at Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station.
The complaint was submitted by Anoop PK, an employee of AKG Centre, who alleged that he was physically assaulted by police personnel while returning after dropping Vijayan at the railway station on 30 May.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred at around 4 pm when Vijayan arrived at the station to board the Thiruvananthapuram–Mangaluru Vande Bharat Express. He had travelled to the station in a vehicle bearing registration number KL 01 CR 4291, accompanied by police personnel.
After Vijayan alighted from the vehicle and entered the station, Anoop attempted to park the car. He alleged that several police officers on duty approached him and objected to where the vehicle was being parked. The complaint further states that the officers verbally abused him, shouting, “Move the vehicle, you scoundrel!”, before attempting to attack him.

Anoop has specifically named two police officers, Jayan and Sarath, alleging that they physically assaulted him. He claims that he was grabbed by the neck and pushed, causing him severe physical and mental distress.
In his complaint, Anoop has requested a thorough investigation into the incident and demanded appropriate legal action against the officers found responsible.
