Passengers travelling on the Nagercoil-Mumbai Express (Train No. 16340) on June 30 should note that the train will skip its halt at Ernakulam Junction due to a revised diversion route. Southern Railway has instead provided additional stops at Kottayam and Ernakulam Town.

Passengers planning to board the Nagercoil-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Express from Ernakulam Junction later this month may need to revise their travel plans.
Southern Railway has announced that Train No. 16340 Nagercoil-LTT Express, scheduled to leave Nagercoil on June 30, will not halt at Ernakulam Junction due to a revised diversion plan. The change means passengers who usually use the busy Kochi station will have to board the train from alternative stations on the route.
Instead of passing through its regular alignment, the train will operate via Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Palakkad, Podanur, Erode and Salem.
To compensate for the cancelled stop at Ernakulam Junction, the railway has provided additional halts at Kottayam and Ernakulam Town. The train will continue towards Mumbai from these stations under the revised route arrangement.
The latest update replaces an earlier diversion schedule issued by Southern Railway earlier this month. Officials said the revision has been made for operational reasons.
For passengers in Kochi, the June 30 service of the Nagercoil-Mumbai Express will bypass Ernakulam Junction entirely. Travellers are advised to check their boarding station in advance and make alternative arrangements if they were planning to join the train from Ernakulam Junction.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to verify the revised route and timings before starting their journey to avoid last-minute confusion.
