Kochi: KPCC president K Sudhakaran appeared in front of the ED officials for interrogation on his alleged involvement in the Monson Mavunkal fraud case. He appeared at the Kochi ED office around 10:55 AM on Monday morning. He was accompanied by DCC president Mohammed Shiyas and KPCC general secretary K Jayanth.

It should be noted that the particular law enforcement agency had earlier summoned the veteran Congress leader for quizzing on August 30. However, Sudhakaran could not appear on that particular day owing to his engagements related to the Puthuppally bypoll. In his last sitting, Sudhakaran had to spend nine long hours at the ED office, answering the queries of the officials.

“I have submitted all the documents they have asked. The ED has so far failed to find any sort of evidence against me in the case. Infact, they will never find anything in future as well,” the KPCC president told the media.

Interestingly, CPM MLA AC Moideen is also being questioned simultaneously at the Kochi ED office for his alleged involvement in the Karuvannur bank scam. While asked about this, Sudhakaran said that “he is neither going to meet Moideen nor discuss anything.”
