Kochi: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Tuesday appeared at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kochi in connection with the Monson Mavunkal-linked antiques fraud case. Ahead of the interrogation, Sudhakaran told media that ED has the right to summon him and a problem shall arise for the party only if he is proven guilty.
“I have not done anything wrong. I am going to appear (before ED) with lots of self confidence and courage. I have not committed any crime in my life that can trap me. I have got several opportunities but never misused them,” Sudhakaran said.
When asked about whether ED summons were issued to any other member of his family, Sudhakaran denied the report and added that he was okay even if such notices were served to his wife and children.
He further added that he has not lived out of another person’s money in his life and asserted that the Congress will win a record majority in Puthuppally bypoll.
