New Delhi: The Supreme Court here on Wednesday adjourned hearing in the SNC Lavalin case yet again.
The case has not been considered despite being listed three times this month. The apex court posted the case for hearings on May 1 and 2. The bench of Justice Surya Kant is considering the case. Previously, the court considered the case on February 6.
The case pertains to awarding a contract to a Canadian company, SNC Lavalin, for the renovation of three hydroelectric projects—Chengulam, Pallivasal, and Panniyar—when Pinarayi Vijayan was the power minister in the then EK Nayanar cabinet between 1996 and 1998. The contract had allegedly led to a loss of Rs 86.25 crore.
