Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC driver L.H. Yadhu is set to take his case to court following the police's refusal to file charges against Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran over a public confrontation between the duo.
Yadhu has stated his determination to pursue legal action if the police continue to decline filing a case. He alleges that during the altercation, the Mayor insulted him and impeded his duties.
Moreover, Yadhu claims that the MLA threatened to dismiss him from his position. He stated that approximately 15 passengers were left stranded due to the incident.
Yadhu questioned the potential consequences if an ordinary individual had obstructed the bus in a similar manner, criticising what he perceives as an abuse of authority. He also alleges to have received warnings from supporters associated with the Mayor's party, advising him to be cautious. Yadhu asserts that he has no political ties.
He maintains that while any errors on his part should have been addressed by police intervention, the events that unfolded amount to nothing less than hooliganism.
