Babu was found hanging from the verandah of an office on the upper floor of a shopping complex located near the KSRTC garage.

Kollam: A KSRTC driver was found hanging at the Kottarakkara KSRTC depot on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Babu, a native of Kuzhiyam in Kundara.
Babu had participated in a protest organised by a Congress-backed employees' union in February 2025. Following the agitation, he and three others were suspended from service. He was reinstated only in March this year, after nearly a year.
During the suspension period, Babu reportedly faced severe financial difficulties. He was also burdened by his wife's health issues. Friends and relatives said he had been under considerable mental stress, which they believe may have led to the suicide.
Babu was found hanging from the verandah of an office on the upper floor of a shopping complex located near the KSRTC garage. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the incident.
