New Delhi: Kerala now reports the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the country, with 750 active infections, according to the latest figures. This places the southern state marginally ahead of others as India continues to monitor its pandemic situation.
As of June 25, 2025, 8:00 AM IST, the national COVID-19 dashboard indicates a total of 3,625 active cases across India. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the country stands at 22,915 since January 1, 2025.
The states currently registering the highest active caseloads are led by Kerala, which now has 750 active cases. Following closely behind is West Bengal with 747 active cases, while Delhi reports 435 active cases.
Based on the reports from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Kerala has reported 1 death in the last 24 hours, while Maharashtra has reported 3 deaths. The death in Kerala was reportedly an 82-year-old female with cerebral edema and coronary artery disease.
