Thiruvananthapuram: A Plus One student, Benson Abraham, was found dead inside his school in Kattakada, triggering shock and sadness within friends and family. Benson, from Erumakuzhy, was a student of Kuttichal Vocational Higher Secondary School. His body was found on Friday morning, with early reports suggesting that his suicide was related to the stress over submitting a school project.
Benson was reportedly upset about not being able to submit his project on time, which may have contributed to his distress. The previous day, he had an argument with the school clerk. It’s said that the clerk saw Benson entering the office without permission to place the seal on his project and the clerk confronted him. The disagreement escalated, and the student's parents were informed of the situation inside the Principal’s office.

Benson had been at home that evening but went missing later. His family searched for him, but it was not until the school opened the following morning that his body was found. The school project deadline was on Friday, the same day Benson's body was found.

Benson’s relatives believe the argument with the clerk caused emotional distress that might have led to his tragic decision. They are now demanding action against the clerk for his alleged misbehaviour with the student. The relatives insist that the body will only be removed once the RDO (Revenue Divisional Officer) arrives.
