In an unusual move, the Kerala High Court is set to reconsider the bail petition of businessman Boby Chemmanur today. Justice PV Kunhikrishnan has decided to take the matter suo moto, reportedly following concerns over Boby's behavior after his initial bail order was issued.
The court has directed all relevant parties, including lawyers representing the defendant, to appear in court by 10:15 am. It appears the court is not satisfied with Boby Chemmanur's conduct, leading to the review of the bail decision.

The reconsidering of the petition comes after Boby's controversial actions following the release of his bail order on Tuesday. Instead of complying with the court's directive to leave jail, Boby chose to stay behind bars in a show of solidarity with other prisoners. His decision, along with the presence of over 100 of his supporters outside the prison gate -- who reportedly raised slogans and displayed placards -- has sparked concerns of contempt and defiance of the court’s orders.
Meanwhile, Boby left the jail premises by around 9:30 am today by car.
