Kannur: In a shocking incident, a tanker lorry carrying LPG overturned at Chala here on Thursday. According to reports, gas is leaking from the tanker lorry. The tanker lorry was fully loaded.
The accident took place in the same spot where an LPG tanker lorry had met with an accident in 2012.
The tanker lorry from Mangalore met with the accident after losing control while crossing a curve on the road. It is hinted that gas is leaking from three parts of the lorry. Only the driver was in the lorry.
Following the accident, people managed to flee from the spot. Fire Force and Police are trying to bring the situation under control.
The vehicles are being diverted for to prevent people from reaching the accident spot. The intensity of the gas leakage will be determined after a detailed examination by the Fire Force.
