Kozhikode: A tanker lorry overturned on Thamarassery ghat road here on Wednesday. Following this, hours of traffic congestion was experienced on the ghat road. 

The empty tanker lorry skid off and overturned at the sixth hairpin turn of the ghat road. The traffic has been partially restored when the police and fire force arrived and moved the lorry to a side of the road. 

No casualties were reported in the accident.
