Thiruvananthapuram: The state cabinet has approved the 11th pay commission report which proposed hike in salary and pension of the government staff. A sub-committee headed by the finance department has been appointed to study on the implementation of the recommendations in the report.
The cabinet has also directed the committee to submit their report immediately. With the implementation of the pay commission report, revised salary scale will come into force from April 1.
The 11th pay commission has submitted the report on January 29.
The minimum salary of the government employees has been recommended at Rs 23,000 in the report submitted by 11th Pay Revision Commission. The revised salaries will be implemented with retrospective effect from 1 July, 2019.
The maximum salary has been recommended as Rs 1,66,800.
