Kanjirappally (Kottayam): The lucky winner of the ₹20 crore bumper prize is still untraceable, but the owner of a local lottery shop in Kanjirappally, A Sudheeq, is convinced that the winner resides in the town. Instances of outsiders buying lottery tickets are low. Sudheeq has been in the lottery business for 30 years. Familiar customers who came to the shop after learning about the result shared in his joy on Saturday. Sudheeq celebrated by distributing sweets to everyone.

Kanjirappally residents are eagerly awaiting the identity of the Christmas–New Year bumper winner. The first prize of ₹20 crore was won by ticket numbered XC 138455, sold at New Lucky Centre (Bismi Lotteries) in Kanjirappally.
The shop belongs to small-scale wholesale lottery dealer A Sudheeq of Chirakkadavu. This time, around 5,000 bumper lottery tickets were put up for sale. The shop sold the remainder of the tickets after distributing portions to the sales agents. The shop owner stated that he does not know the winner personally. Given Kanjirappally’s popularity among Sabarimala pilgrims, there is speculation that the prize may have gone to someone from outside the area. As banks remain closed until Monday, it may take time for the lottery ticket to be presented to the bank.

Second prize of ₹1 Cr shared among 20 winners
A total of 6,21,990 prizes were announced this year. Other tickets with the same number as the first-prize ticket in nine different series will each receive consolation prizes of ₹1 lakh.
Twenty people will each receive ₹1 crore as the second prize. The third prize of ₹10 lakh will go to 20 winners, the fourth prize of ₹3 lakh to 20 winners, and the fifth prize of ₹2 lakh to 20 winners.
This year, 54,08,880 tickets were sold for the Christmas–New Year bumper lottery. The draw was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Director Aji Jayakumar.
