Following the production of Vande Bharat trains, ICF is now receiving more orders for Amrit Bharat trains as well

Chennai: More Amrit Bharat trains will roll out from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur, Chennai. ICF has received approval from the Railway Board to manufacture 5 additional Amrit Bharat trains. The overall target is to produce 200 such trains at the ICF plant. Currently, 60 Amrit Bharat trains are operating across 30 routes nationwide.
It is learnt that the 5 new trains will be operated under Southern Railway, where passenger numbers are increasing. There is also hope that services will be allotted to Kerala.
Following the production of Vande Bharat trains, ICF is now receiving more orders for Amrit Bharat trains as well. Amrit Bharat trains offer speed, safety, and amenities similar to Vande Bharat and are built using push-pull technology.
