Kondotty: The second group of pilgrims, consisting only of women, has left for hajj pilgrimage from Karipur hajj camp. With this, a total of 1992 people have reached Jeddah on 12 flights.
Three flights carried women pilgrims belonging to the category ‘without Mahram.' A P Abdullakutty, chairman of the Central Haj Committee, visited the camp and wished them a pleasant journey.
Discussions were held with the members regarding the functioning of the camp. Umar Faizi Mukkam led the send-off and prayers for the group of pilgrims.
On Saturday, three flights carrying pilgrims from ‘Without Mahram’ category will depart from Karipur.
