Skip long queues! Karipur Airport`s new Fast Track Immigration system clears passengers in just 20 seconds. Register now for seamless travel

Kozhikode: International passengers flying out of Calicut International Airport (Karipur) will no longer have to wait in long queues for immigration clearance. With the launch of the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program, travellers can now complete the process in just 20 seconds using smart gates.
This long-awaited facility has been introduced to address the complaints of passengers who have faced delays for years. Special kiosks have been set up at Karipur where travellers can register for the programme and provide their biometric details. The facility will be particularly beneficial for expatriates travelling with families.
Indian citizens and holders of the Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card can now use the smart gates at the airport’s newly installed immigration counters. With the addition of this system, the number of immigration counters at Karipur has increased from 26 to 56.
The Fast Track Immigration system was first introduced at eight major international airports—Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata. Recently, it has also become operational in Kozhikode, Amritsar, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli, taking the total number of airports with this facility to 13.
Passengers wishing to use this facility have three options:
- Apply online through the official website www.ftittp.mha.gov.in.
- Apply directly at immigration counters in the 13 airports where the programme is available.
- Apply at the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
Once the application is submitted, travellers will need to provide biometric details such as fingerprints and facial scans. These details will be verified to ensure authenticity before granting membership. Final confirmation is done through mobile OTP and email verification. Once registered, passengers can complete immigration clearance within seconds using the biometric-enabled smart gates.
