Pathanamthitta: It has been observed that the number of professionals who register in Employment Exchanges has increased in the state. People working in new job sectors and techies are among those who have applied through employment exchange.

Earlier, SSLC pass to graduate level and physically challenged people, register in employment exchanges for jobs. However, more professionals and those who have expertise in certain job sectors also are registering here.

A total of 37,71,628 job seekers have registered in the employment exchange so far. The number of professionals registering in employment exchange started rising in the last two years. The crisis in job sectors following the Covid outbreak resulted in this trend.

Compared to medical field, more candidates who register in employment exchange are from engineering sector. 95,364 job seekers qualified in technical subjects have registered in employment exchanges while only 53,159 engineering graduates registered.

27,816 candidates are from nursing related fields. Apart from them, 1511 MBBS doctors, 4146 Ayurveda doctors, 13,831 MCA graduates, 8288 MBA graduates, 813 law graduates and 439 agriculture scientists also have registered in employment exchange.
