Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation has stated that the employees engaging in protest announced from October 1 onwards will not be given the salary for the month of September. Besides, it also declared dies-non, which will further cut the pay of protesting days.

The Congress-baked Transport Democratic Federation has called for indefinite strike against the 12-hour single duty system from October 1 onwards. KSRTC said the chief minister has assured the employees to study the impact of the system in six months and make amendments if required.

It is unfair to declare a strike after agreeing with the CM in the meeting, KSRTC management said.

The corporation is in the process of regaining its foothold. It bagged a record collection of Rs 8.4 crore on the first working day after Onam vacation. The salary for September will be distributed by October 5 with the help of the state government, it said.

Management said it has given necessary directions to act immediately if any employee causes inconvenience to the passengers.
